Our recent Yard Sale was very successful!

Ride Nipomo is an equestrian trails group of every type of rider and horse to match. One of our senior board members had to make the difficult decision to give up her beloved horse, Dream . Heaven Can Wait had an opening and Nora the owner knew that Dream would live out the rest of his years there in comfort, and the Directors could be trusted: which in the horse world today, isn’t always a given. When I learned of this difficult decision I decided in some way we could as an equestrian group make a difference for Dream and Nora. It took much longer than anticipated, and Dream has already passed over the Rainbow Bridge. But in his memory a garage , tack & bake sale were put together. It took 2 weeks of organizing, cleaning, and spreading the wealth amongst RN members willing to help. On Saturday January 28th, we had a tremendous turnout. Every horse group came, donated, and bought. Special thanks go out to Darcy, Shelia, Patty, Linda, Janet, Sandy, Deah, Sue, Georgie, & Angela’s 4H- and so many more I should be listing. We were able to earn $2,400 for Heaven Can Wait, and any tack that was not sold was donated to a local smaller Equine and Child Therapy Group, and garage sale items went to R.A.D. thrift store that benefits Rancho de los Animales for the Disabled. RN was able to sell our T-shirts & Memberships to make $512.00 , a fun and great day all together. Dreams are possible, they just take work. Cherie Dodds
