Nipomo Regional Park is one of the area's greatest assets. It remains predominately an open, unmanicured area with many fine old oaks and associated flora. A ride in and around the park can last about 1.5 hours without much duplication. If you want to bring horses in with a trailer there is a fee on the weekends. However, riding in through any of the many gates is allowed any day and without cost. Some trails are technically outside the park but have been cleared for equestrian use. The loop around the Mesa Meadows development has some great vistas of the mountains to the North and East. Any trails within the boundary (except for the rangers area) are open to equestrian use.

Directions: Exit Hwy 101 at Teft St. and head west. Turn right at Pomeroy and look for the parking lot on your left. This park is scheduled to be torn down and replaced by softball fields. Equestrians enjoy! The beauty is astounding!
