Nipomo offers riders the opportunity to ride through giant oak trees and chaparral, located at Pomeroy Rd and Camino Caballo corner, extending thru the park on horse trails off Osage. The views are fabulous. For a short but sweet ride, take your trailer into the park. Abundant wildlife as well lives there. Let's hope we can keep this small piece of wild area going.

Black Lake Canyon

You can also park on Zenon Road off of Halcyon Road at the east side of the canyon and ride in. Parking there is best on the side of Zenon road before driving down the hill to a dead end. This area is not for the faint of heart. The hill down is steep, do not drive down. This is a rough area with poison oak, be aware! Recent exploration revealed short trails needing more clearing but beautiful. The recent fire in the canyon has doubtless changed the experience.
